Art at Neptune
Surrounded by creativity - within the hotel.
Art is held dear at Neptune Hotels, as we like to give our guests an understanding of the heritage of the Greek culture. Hereby, the Greek mythology is well suited to be connected to modern art.
With the "Path of mythological sculptures", located opposite the shopping arcade, the German artist and sculptor Peter Müller has accomplished this connection in a very unique way. He has created sculptures of the Greek Gods, Semi-Gods and heroes out of spare parts and scrap, reviving them in a modern way. Hence, Poseidon's torso has been made of parts of an old water turbine and Hermes wears roller-skates.
Particularly the funny and double-minded humor is responsible for Peter Müller’s great success. Children as well as adults enjoy his sculptures and suddenly Greek mythology arouses their interest.
Moreover, at the hotel's entrance as well as in the Spa area several paintings and sculptures of the artist are exhibited.
